Introduction |
This site is for my mom's online tea shop named "TeaBow Tea Shop." I chose this topic because the existing site doesn't get much traffic at all and really needs some improvement. |
Site Goals |
The client hopes that, with this new design overhaul, the site will help in increasing the amount of orders and site traffic. We will track product sales and user activity on the site to see whether or not the new design attracts more potentional customers. |
Audience |
This site is primarily targeted to users (ages 25+) looking for information about new teas and tea supplies as prospective buyers. They also are comfortable using the Web and ordering products online using various secure payment methods. |
Audience |
Jessica is a 36-year-old mother of 3 young children. She has a desktop computer with a 15-inch monitor and connects to the Internet through a 56k modem. She is comfortable using her email and often prefers to shop online for the sake of saving time and energy. She doesn't like the taste of coffee but still needs that caffeine-boost during the day so she is looking for specific types of teas that fit her needs and tastes. She generally prefers well-organized, easy-to-navigate sites that help her to find what she wants quickly with a hassle-free process. She appreciates sites that are clear and concise, aren't too cluttered with text, and include pictures of the offered products. |
Client |
The client is my mother, Mary Thibault. |

Interface |
This site is geared more towards a mature audience, so the design will be simple enough to make the process less stressful, but also interesting enough to engage the user's attention. The site will feature easy-to-read texts, light, complimentary colors, and pictures that relate to the content. |
