This site is about animal rights and is titled "People for Paws." I chose this topic because I volunteer in an animal shelter and want to do something to help animals that I often see that have been abused. |
| SITE GOALS |
- Increase awareness of the gravity and abundance of animal abuse in the general public.
- Display graphic design artwork that displays facts about animal abuse to inspire the general public to take action.
- Give the general public ideas of ways to take action against animal abuse.
- Provide tips and information about how to handle household animals in a humane way.
- Provide a place for people to reference information to give to others if they encounter animal abuse directly.
|
| AUDIENCE |
This website is primarily for teens to young adults who have contact with animals frequently or own pets themselves. It is meant for those who have a general interest in animal rights but do not know where to start in gathering information and forming opinions on their stance regarding animals. |
| AUDIENCE PROFILE |
Cary is a 16 year old high school student who owns two cats and a dog. He has a neighbor who owns a dog that he often visits and plays with, but witnesses his neighbor sometimes kicking the dog. After seeing the neighbor kick the dog several times within the past few months, Cary has developed an interest in animal safety and wants to find a way to reach out to his neighbor to stop kicking his pet. He has not researched animal rights before and is overwhelmed with all the information out there when he googles the broad term "animal rights." |

Since the website is directed at generally younger people, the interface will include bright, trendy colors with an easy to use button-oriented navigation scheme. The type will be easy to understand and to the point, and the fonts will be stylish but easy to read. The site will work for household computers but also be functional on smartphones or tablets as the younger generation relies on these heavily. |
