AUDIENCE PROFILE: |
Joe is a 33 year old working father who has been collecting coins since he was a young boy. He likes using the internet searching for the coins that he needs to complete his collection of Lincoln pennies which he started when he was in sixth grade. He does a lot of shopping online but is very cautious when making purchases from web sites other than major well know sites like Amazon and eBay. He is proud of his hobby and likes to show it to others as well as examining other people’s collections. Although demographics indicate coin collecting is enjoyed mostly by male baby boomers and war generation collectors age 40+, lobbying by the American Numismatic Association which has resulted on long overdue changes to U.S. coins has resulted in a renewed interest in coin collection by younger audiences. Unfortunately there is increased emphasis on eliminating the U.S. penny which is the most commonly collected coin by beginners in the United States. |
