Megan K. McCoy
Final Project Proposal
CIS 212

Introduction

This will be an online portfolio, entitled "Megan K. McCoy Designs."

Site Goals

I hope to generate more freelance projects for myself while also assisting me in the job search.

Audience

The primary audience for my website are potential employers working in the design industry looking to hire. This particular demographic will be well versed in design, easily recognizing proper use of design elements and very familiar with website navigation.

The secondary audience for my site are perspective clients seeking creative assistance for their own projects- whether it be business or personal- and want to know what services I offer in addition to how they may contact me for inquiries.

Audience Profile

YHD is a rapidly growing graphic design firm in Southern California. Due to the increased amount of projects, they are looking to hire a young, talented junior designer to join their creative team. They're looking for someone with an online portfolio who's work reflects the person's level of knowledge and comfort using familiar design software (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite). In addition to their work history, the website should also reflect the candidates personal sense of creativity- they're looking for someone who offers the perfect balance of creativity and skill, with room for growth with their company.

Client

The client for this website is myself.

Interface

I'd like the appearance of my online portfolio to coordinate with my physical portfolio of work, utilizing the same color palette of lavender, black, and white, as well as, the same font style- a clean combination of a simple serif such as Georgia with a sans-serif like Trebuchet. I'm considering reworking my current logo, but I'd like to be the cohesive design element on each page.
